ok, before doing anything else, why dont' you upgrade to the latest version (1.1.1.) as you are saying you have 1.0.3a but you are referring to 1.1.1 when it comes to features (Moderator Control Panel) and lets take it from there.

p.s. please make sure you have doublechecked your edits as well.

How funny this is, i was gonna tell you the same thing, but then i changed my mind coz i didn't wanna bother you with that too, so i sticked with the old version one :happysmerk:

Anyway, it's working now, i think this new version is more interesting and has more organized features.

Thank you for your help, and advices.

Btw did you notice, php has released a new version of their software 3.0.4, do u think this Mod would work with the new version ???

Hi Lefty! :cheer:
I have a birthday question, but I think the problem still falls within the global announcement mod....

For some reason when it's a member's birthday, their birthday announcement appears in the global announcement box twice. Have you heard of this? It's done this since we've had the mods installed, I just haven't gotten around to asking. We have all the birthday mods and the global announcement.

:thinking:

Yes, that's what I meant. I think I am always calling it the global announcements because it's at the top "globally" like the regular global announcements. But, that is what it is. I will send you the info right now, if you have the time feel free to take a peek. Though I do shutter to think of the tongue lashing that I might get when a "professional phpBB'er" sees my website mess, LOL. :scared3:

You're such a nice guy Lefty! :embarrassed:

I just sometimes feel like I should have a disclaimer on my /public_html/ directory saying "enter at your own risk" because of all the half-baked website changes that I get started on and then have to stop and save so I can put out a fire somewhere else. But I sure try! :newcry2:

Hi Lefty - I'm trying to install this on our board at work. We just upgraded to 3.0.4, and everything is fine except the ACP doesn't see the sql entries that were added to it in the database. I get the following error after clicking on the .MOD directory:

Code: Select all
General Error
SQL ERROR [ mysql4 ]

Table 'rainonei_phpb1.ANNOUNCEMENTS_CENTRE_TABLE' doesn't exist [1146]

SQL

SELECT * FROM ANNOUNCEMENTS_CENTRE_TABLE

BACKTRACE

FILE: includes/db/mysql.php
LINE: 174
CALL: dbal->sql_error()

FILE: includes/acp/acp_announcements_centre.php
LINE: 114
CALL: dbal_mysql->sql_query()

FILE: includes/functions_module.php
LINE: 507
CALL: acp_announcements_centre->main()

FILE: adm/index.php
LINE: 74
CALL: p_master->load_active()

I tried to use the install folder, but it error'd out as well. This is a fresh board install with no other mods. I have double checked to see that the sql entries are present and they are. Should I have waited to upgrade to 3.0.4?

-Cheers ;)

For some reason it is limiting the size of the ACP Announcement Centre window to 25 px o.O

Let me know what you think.

try this for the margin

open announcement_centre.html
find
Code: Select all
   <div style="margin: 10px 25px 0 25px;">

replace with
Code: Select all
   <div>

and maybe stick a
Code: Select all
   <br style="clear: both;" />

under the <!-- INCLUDE announcement_centre.html -->

but the latter one is just a guess as i dont really know ur skin

That's the thing... Take a look for yourself, it's not in overal_header.html! Maybe in the css?

It adds <div style="margin: 10px 25px 0 25px;"> </div> to the html file on it's own around <!-- INCLUDE announcement_centre.html -->

I'll see if I can find a stylesheet that's putting that in.

Hmm, this is all I could find in stylesheet.css that had 25 in it but I'm not sure what it's for exactly:

Code: Select all
td.trans25 {background-color: transparent;opacity:.25;filter: alpha(opacity=25); -moz-opacity: 0.25;border:0px solid black; }

I don't think that's the problem though... :thinking:

Sorry, got a head of myself as I try to do too many things at once :laughpound:

It's getting closer, although it's still smooshed. It now spans the whole template.

Hmm, even worse. I tried some different things, even taking out the extra menu bar. It's almost like there is a height set for the site_logo to the end of the overall_header that's keeping it the same height... Still looking. :thinking:

I just took "height: 200px;" out of #wrapheader in stylesheet.css and it looks much better. Does it look right to you? My eyes are crossing as I approach the end of my work day :fatigue3:

There was a menu bar which I took out everything but "Home" so it was pointless. It looks a little streched out to me, but I'm assuming that the reason height: 200px was put in there in the first place was to tighten it up.

Can you put something else that tightens up the page but not limits? :ideabulb:
