I was wondering what camera do you own and whether you are happy with it?

Is it digital, compact, SLR, analog? Would you recommend it to others? Do you have your eye on another camera that you would like?

I shall start then, shall I?

Compact camera - IXUS 400 (digital)
bought in July 2003, I still like the quality of the pictures taken with that camera and would recommend it to anyone but it is no longer being sold... The only downfall I see is the time it takes between pressing the shutter and the picture acutally being taken. Apart from that the camera is very robust and reliable.
Since the camera does its job I have currently no desire to "upgrade" although there are some nice cameras out there...
Since the camera is no longer being sold it doesnt really matter whether I would recommend it but I would point out the delay between pressing the shutter the the picture being taken... apart form that no problems!

Digital SLR - Canon 20d
bought in March 2005. Was not that cheap but definitely worth its money! It takes great quality pictures and you will have many possibilites with that camera. In the meantime, Canon has released its successor, the 30d which apart from other improvements has a bigger display with only a slightly more expensive price. If I bought a digital SLR today, I would problaby end up buying the 30d... However, since i have not had the 20d for that long I shall be using it for some time to come... was expensive enough.

I'm from the stone ages and have had my camera for nealy 15 years :shock: its a Nikon F801S with 2 lenses..1 70-210mm and 1 35-70mm..I must say I'm still happy with this camera but once I make pots and pots of money I will switch to digital but will never throw this one away :pics:

i have a Nikon digital... i like it, but there are so many little buttons, i don't know what they do :dontknow:

... other thing i don't like is there is no hole to look through.. you just look at the screen... that doesn't help me much, i need to steady the camera somehow, since i have a bit of a tremor, my pics come out blurry most of the time

are there careers for blurry photographers? :rotfl2:

i used to have a 35mm Minolta, that thing was great! :thumbsup: ... sadly, it doesn't work anymore

i prefer film to digital, much better in my opinion

I have an old POS (ok only about 5 years old...but still very, very limited in it's abilities) Kodak DX3600.

As soon as we get our finances in order I would love to get a real camera with a real lense and a shutter I can set the timing for (for those evening and low light shots).

I have an "old" digital Nikon D70 (3 year old) with 3 lenses..1) Sigma 18-50mm 2) Sigma 55-220mm and 3) i just bought it Tamron 18-270 mm

Before i had a Praktika BCS (year 1989) with marvellous Carl Zeiss lens but no more working :newcry2:

After that i used a Minolta 505i was a very good camera but not digital then ....

what type of photography do you like most?

i am pretty much into wildlife/animal pictures.
